Model Licenses
Last updated: October 31, 2026 · Version 1.0
- Personal: print for yourself, your home and gifts that are not sold.
- Commercial: sell the physical printed parts while your subscription is active.
- Never share, sell or publish the digital files.
This is a translation of the Portuguese version. If there is any conflict, the Portuguese version prevails, except where the mandatory law of your country requires otherwise.
Current status: payments, subscriptions and paid credits are not yet active on STLzilla. The rules about them below apply once billing is enabled; until then, nothing is charged.
1. What you receive
When you download a model from STLzilla, Gustavo Zenedin Cruz grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license, revocable in case of breach. You do not acquire ownership of the model or files. The license applies to the downloaded model and version and is recorded in your download history.
2. Personal license
Applies to downloads made with courtesy credits, to free models (unless the model page says otherwise) and to credit packs bought without an active subscription. You may:
- print as many parts as you want for yourself, your household or as gifts, without charging for them;
- modify the file for your own use;
- post photos of your prints on social media, crediting STLzilla.
You may not sell the parts or use them as corporate giveaways or in paid services.
3. Commercial license
Included in every subscription plan and valid only while the subscription is active. You may:
- sell the physical printed parts, with no unit limit, in your own shop, at fairs, on marketplaces and as commissions;
- use the parts in paid services, corporate gifts and business decoration;
- customize the parts for your customers.
Parts sold while your subscription was active remain properly licensed after you cancel. After the paid period ends, new downloads and new sales follow the personal license until you subscribe again. Credit packs bought by subscribers also carry the commercial license while the subscription is active.
4. What no license allows
- Sharing, selling, giving away, trading or sublicensing the digital files (STL, 3MF, SCAD, images or any other format), even if modified.
- Publishing the files or derivatives on repositories, websites, groups, public clouds or social networks.
- Selling a “custom file” service using STLzilla models.
- Using the website’s photos, renders and text to promote or sell your parts. Take your own photos.
- Claiming authorship of the model or using the STLzilla brand without permission.
- Using the files to train or feed artificial intelligence systems.
5. Third-party content
The license does not cover trademarks, characters, logos or images of third parties that you add when customizing. You are responsible for that content.
6. Breach
A breach ends the license and may lead to account suspension and legal action.
